Bean applies lessons learned during injury rehab

Wortham running back Tanner Bean has a deep faith in God. So, in a moment of crisis last season, the Bulldog senior’s thoughts turned to the Creator. Bean, who is in his fourth year as a starter for Wortham, was injured in the team’s seventh game last year against Frost. He had already amassed nearly 1,100 yards rushing with 17 touchdowns and 19 twopoint conversion runs and a total of 146 points. Despite the shortened season, Bean was voted Class 2A third team all-state by the Texas Sports Writers Association.
