Leon sweeps Lady Bulldogs

The Wortham volleyball team lost a three-set match to state-ranked Leon atWortham on Friday afternoon. Leon won the opening set 25-11 and remained in control of the contest with a 25-12 win in the second set and a 25-7 triumph in the third set. The loss dropped Wortham to 14-16 for the season. Madison Newhouse led the Lady Bulldogs with eight kills and nine digs. Riley Winstead added four kills, one block and one service ace.
