Through Thursday, Oct. 22, 4,221 people have voted early in Limestone County. The Elections Administration has also received another 628 votes by mail.

The City of Mexia would like to remind everyone that our solid waste contractor, Republic Services, provides curbside collection of bulk trash items. The service is provided to residents twice per month according to a rotating schedule. Generally, residents north of Milam Street and west of Highway 14, enjoy collection on the first and third Friday of each month. All other residents will see pick-up of bulk items on the second and fourth Friday of each month.
The Mexia High School Class of 1959 presented $45,000 to Texas A&M University-Commerce in June 2019 to establish an endowed scholarship fund. This fall, the new scholarship will be available to a deserving A&M-Commerce student for the first time.
