Mexia police officers arrested two men now facing assault charges this past week. Officers also arrested a man who now faces a DWI charge and another who had active arrest warrants.
A fundraising dinner was held Thursday at Cross Creek Meadows Therapeutic Riding and Retreat Center in Thornton to help advance the construction and maintenance of the facility. Cross Creek Meadows uses the beneficial influence of horses to provide therapy to two distinct groups of people – autistic children and veterans with post-traumatic stress disorder. While those two groups seem totally different, their conditions can be profoundly improved through interacting with horses.
Through Monday, Oct. 26, 5,646 people have voted early in Limestone County, including 660 votes by mail, according to the county’s Election Administration.
