At the Texas Veterans of Foreign Wars state convention, District 29 commander Chris Davis, of Mexia, was recognized as an All-State District Commander.

MSSLC gala fundraiser returns to Mexia
A gala fundraiser to benefit the Mexia State Supported Living Center is planned for Saturday, Aug. 14, at the Christian Life Center of First Baptist Church, Mexia.
