The event is scheduled every two years to raise money for the “Bryan “BT” Thornton Scholarship Fund and the Limestone and Freestone County Cancer Support groups. Scott Thornton, BT’s brother, said Saturday night that about $18,000 was raised during a live auction earlier in the event. BT Thornton passed away from pancreatic cancer in March 2016. He was a founding member, playing guitar and then drums for many years, of Diamondback TX.
