Mexia football coach and athletic director Brady Bond said the first day of the Blackcat Pride Strength and Conditioning Camp went pretty well Monday morning.

A Little Dribblers National Tournament is coming to Fairfield next week, and Mexia will have a role in hosting games for the event, which will feature more than 140 teams in three age divisions for both boys and girls.
Coolidge senior Amaya Brown went to the UIL state track meet earlier this month looking to win some medals. She returned home with a college scholarship offer.
