Mexia Bantam football team qualifies for playoffs despite loss

The three Mexia Community Sports youth football teams played their final regular-season games against Madisonville at Blackcat Field on Saturday, Oct. 22. All three teams lost. One team will be in the playoffs, one team got knocked out of the playoffs, and one team was up in the air whether it would qualify for the postseason. The 6-7-year-old Bantam team is in the playoffs despite a 22-6 loss to firstplace Madisonville.
