Early voting for the Democrat and Republic primary runoffs started Monday, June 29, with turnout very light so far, according to Elections Administrator Jennifer Southard, but there is still plenty of time for people to make their voices heard next week and on Election Day itself.
The Limestone County jail was surprised last week by an unannounced inspection by the Texas Jail Commission, and the good news is the jail passed the inspection.
Mexia school officials are in the process of starting a virtual school for students whose parents who do not wish to send them next year to in-person instruction, MISD superintendent Dr. Lyle DuBus announced Monday, June 29, in a letter to the community.
