DAR welcomes veterans

The Jonathan Hardin Chapter, National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution, met Nov. 4 at the Parkview Hospital Annex Building in Mexia. Vice Regent Kathleen McKee welcomed special guest, our veterans; other guest, Jane Morrison; and speaker Judy Denke.
Veterans group to hold grand opening Saturday

Veterans Partners of Texas, formerly Veterans Pardners, is holding a grand opening at its new building, the Bobby Lonnen Peer Support Center, this Saturday, Nov. 14, at 10 a.m.

This week at Mexia LTC we started the week off with hallway reading about the “Good Ole Days” on Monday morning. Residents played bingo on Monday afternoon. We read Bible study notes sent by Bob Kersten on Tuesday morning on each hall. Residents had their Resident Council Meeting on Tuesday afternoon.
