Now that the deadline has passed for filing to run for any Limestone County offices, 16 men and women are gearing up their campaigns to win the March 1, 2022, primary election. There are only three county offices for which the incumbents will have challengers, and the remaining seven will not. All county-office candidates are Republicans. No one from the Democratic Party or any other minor party filed for office.

Eric Roman Henderson, 17, of Mexia is in the Limestone County Jail, charged with two counts of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. His bond is $50,000 for each charge.
