Year in Review: Spring brings memorials, new AD

April through June of 2022 started out with a memorial service for slain DPS Trooper Chad Walker. There also seemed to be more police activity, perhaps due to COVID-19 restrictions lifting. We also saw students and other citizens exercising their right to state their opinion on hiring new athletic director for MISD.

Pump prices drop in Mexia

“A recovering economy coupled with strong employment is leading to increased demand for gasoline,” said Andrew Gross, AAA spokesperson. “This demand increase should drive pump prices higher, but it’s been blunted by the wavering price of crude oil.”
