Teague shooting victim’s family suggests donations to Freestone cancer fund

Teague Police Department officers responded to a call at 4:59 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 23, from Brookshire Brothers, located at 220 Loop 255 Teague, about an unresponsive woman in a vehicle found by store employees. Officers determined the woman was deceased and began an investigation into the manner of death, which appears to be homicide, according to a TPD press release.

Jury is chosen

Twelve jurors and two alternates were selected this week to serve during the trial of Dabrett Black, the man accused of shooting Trooper Damon Allen on Thanksgiving Day 2017.
