Which was the most – the students having fun in food preparation or the exquisite taste of the cuisine? The Wortham Bulldog Beefstro BBQ Team held its annual Super Bowl Fundraiser on Feb. 12. The students cooked a total of five briskets, 64 racks of ribs, 64 whole chickens and 125 pounds of Slovacek’s Sausage. Thirty students participated in the event.

The Mexia ISD School Board of Directors voted unanimously Monday night, Feb. 21, to remove the interim title and make Aaron Nowell the head football coach and athletic director for the Blackcats.

This week at Mexia LTC we started the week off with reading about the “Good Ole Days” on Monday morning. Residents played bingo on Monday afternoon. Residents enjoyed Bible study reading on the halls on Tuesday morning. Residents had their Residents’ Council meeting on Tuesday afternoon.
