Four Blackcats have qualified for the Region 2 Powerlifting Meet slated for Saturday, March 9, at West High School. Lifting begins at 9 a.m.
The Mexia baseball team won one of three games at the Blackcat Classic Thursday through Saturday, Feb. 29 to March 2, in its final tune-up before beginning District 20-3A play.
The Mexia Runnin’ Cats earned three superlative awards and had three firstteam All-District 20-3A selections for the recently completed basketball season.
Two Mexia girls powerlifters earned medals for finishing in the top five of their weight classes at the regional meet at Dublin on Saturday, March 2.
