The Wortham baseball team defeated Mt. Calm, 11-0, in a game that was stopped in the top of the third inning Friday, March 8. It was the opening District 14-2A contest for both teams.
The Mexia girls soccer team punched its ticket to the playoffs with a 3-1 victory over Cameron Yoe at Blackcat Field on Monday, March 11.
Age is no barrier when it comes to reeling in the big ones.
Caden Grayson won the shot put event and Mexia had a number of other place-winners who scored points in a track meet at Madisonville on Wednesday, March 6.
