Kitten of the Week: Pokie

This is Pokie. The Kittery took in Pokie from an elderly couple in Buffalo where he was a stray and was also wounded. He had a broken leg and also an injury with an open wound on his paw. He was taken to the vet and he’s completely healed now; and he has also been vaccinated and neutered. The Kittery’s adoption fees are being waived at this time, and the Kittery is conducting driveway adoptions that are a completely safe way for people to adopt. Contact the Kittery on Facebook or at kitteryrescue.org or by phone at 254-424-3234.

Pet of the Week: Nebraska

Meet Nebraska! This handsome older gentleman was rescued from a hoarding situation in rural Navarro County. He is current on shots, fixed and Microchipped. This 8- or 9-year-old Australian Shepherd mix is friendly and will shake paws with you. He is good with kids and other dogs. He may occasionally chase a cat, so may need a home where the cats are a little dog savvy. He is Heartworm positive and so will need to stay on monthly preventative. He walks okay on a leash and will crate. Won’t you give this laid-back fella a home? Contact www.info@hot-paws.org or call or text 903-875-5479 to adopt. There are other dogs available for adoption, and the organizatin will do no-contact adoptions by appointment due to COVID 19.
