About a dozen members of the Mexia Lions Club got a sneak peek at the fully restored structure of Gibbs Memorial Library on Tuesday, July 28, and there was not even a hint of the fire and smoke from the arsonists fire that so damaged the building on Sept. 28, 2019.

Two Mexia Police Department arrests last week began with minor wrecks and involved alleged drug use. The officers dealt with those incidents and also arrested one woman on alleged drug possession; and another woman after her husband accused her of assaulting him.

This week at Mexia LTC we started the week off playing hallway bowling on Monday morning. Residents played hallway bingo on Monday afternoon. We were to read Bible study notes sent by Bob Kersten on Tuesday morning on a room-to-room basis. Residents were to have bean-bag toss in the hallway on Tuesday afternoon.
