Mexia police officers responded about 7:55 a.m. Thursday, April 8, to a report of a man brandishing a weapon from inside a vehicle in the 1100 block of North Ross Street, near Mexia High School.
Pastor Jimmy Cotton was good friends with Chad Walker growing up. He was a part of Walker’s wedding three years ago. Thursday he was a part of his funeral.
Mexia residents celebrated their city’s 100th anniversary July 10, 1971. Soon they’ll be celebrating its 150th.
