KEEP A PICTURE OF YOUR SUITCASE Dear Heloise: I read your reply to Courtney, from Hammond, Louisiana, about lost luggage. It reminded me of the time I flew from Fort Wayne, Indiana, to California. My luggage never showed up on the carousel. The first thing they asked me when I reported it was: What does your luggage look like? It didn’t match any of their pictures on their chart because my suitcase was about 25 years old. Eventually, they got it to me a day later.

Parents log more time with children and need to be ‘educators’

Normally I’d write something to encourage teachers, coaches and staff of our school and ask God’s blessing on another school year. While I do, like you, pray for a blessed and safe year, I want to turn my attention to the most influential person in a child’s life. The ones who still log in more time with children — more than teachers, coaches and youth ministers. And that is the parents.
