Court finalizes end-of-year spending, enacts burn ban

Street drugs kill 1, another in hospital

Two overdoses of suspected counterfeit drugs led to the death of one person in Mexia, and the hospitalization of another on Friday, Aug. 9, according to a Mexia Police Department press release.
