One person was killed and two others injured, but are in stable condition, when shots were fired during a party near Dew just after 1 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 8.
The search continues for a pair of Leon County jail inmates who escaped custody while working as part of a work crew Friday, Aug. 6, near Leon County Expo Center.

A 20-year-old man driving with his lights off and having a loud argument with his passenger was stopped by Mexia police officers Sunday just after midnight and ended up in jail for DWI. Two other arrests involved men with active arrest warrants, one called in by an acquaintance and another discovered by a police officer.
