In support of A Soldier’s Child Foundation, Brotherhood Forever motorcycle club will present its first annual Toy Drive and Poker Run from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 5, at 272 FM 2838 in Mexia.
The public is invited to the annual Bridge Lighting ceremony, which will take place on the Navasota River Bridge on Hwy. 14, on Tuesday, Dec.1 at sundown, or about 6 p.m.
The Wortham High School Chapter of the National Honor Society inducted seven new members in a candle lighting ceremony on Sunday, Oct. 18.
‘Tis the season to give thanks, and a number of students at A.V McBay Elementary expressed what they are thankful for as the Thanksgiving holiday approaches.
