Garden Club holds first meeting of 2025

Garden Club holds first meeting of 2025

The Mexia Garden Club started the New Year with a lovely refreshment table made by hostesses Carol Matthews and Rae Sappington (shown in photo). The theme was Pioneer Woman. Pretty pine trees graced the table with wonderful refreshments of fruits, homemade sliders and desserts. Cloth napkins were used to go with the theme of saving the environment. President Gayle Beene led the meeting. The group voted for new officers after a report was given by Pat Cox from the nomination committee. Officers will be installed in May. The famous and popular Game Day hosted by the Garden Club each year will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 14, at the Mexia Baptist Church Fellowship Hall. Contributed Photo
