(StatePoint) It may take a little extra time and creativity, but a holiday cookie exchange can be held virtually and it’s worth the effort according to experts.

Groesbeck Longbotham’s Furniture store marked its 75th anniversary in November, having started in business in 1945 in Wortham. The business was begun by Elmo Longbotham, who rented a building in Wortham the same year World War II ended.

Those who have lost a loved one and are struggling with grief are invited to attend a grief seminar at Calvary Baptist Church on Saturday, Dec. 5, 10 a.m. to noon.
