J.R. Deichler’s senior high school baseball season may have been cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but the Mexia Blackcat will get the chance to play in college.

The Mexia varsity and junior varsity football players will resume workouts Monday morning after a two-day shutdown due to a Blackcat athlete’s possible exposure to COVID-19 by a family member.
