Four Blackcat football players signed letters of intent to continue their playing careers in college on National Signing Day in the Mexia High School gym Wednesday morning.
Mexia High School senior Le’Marion Miller was voted All-State second team in Class 4A, Division II, in the Padilla Poll.

The Mexia girls’ soccer team was shut out by Lorena, 10-0, in a District 17-4A match at Blackcat Field on Friday.
Mexia built a nine-point lead in the second half against Waco LaVega on Friday night, but the visiting Lady Pirates forged a fourth-quarter comeback and beat the Ladycats, 49-42, at the Mexia High School gym.
