The Mexia Blackcats football team hosted the Westwood Panthers in the season-0pener Friday night, Aug. 30. It was a difficult one for the Mexia faithful, as the Blackcats fell 77-42.
The Mexia boys and girls cross country teams both competed in Thursday’s James Smith High School Invite. The meet was hosted by Midlothian High.
This past Thursday, the Mexia Blackcats football team went through their final tune-up before the regular season opener on Friday night. It was a rousing success.
Over the weekend, the Mexia Ladycats volleyball team wrapped up the threeday Gatesville Tournament and did not record a victory.
