The Mexia Blackcats soccer team earned a 3-0 home win over Harmony on Tuesday, Jan. 21. With the win, Mexia moves to 2-1 in District 23-4A Division 3.

It was a hotly contested hardwood battle Tuesday, Jan. 21 at Westwood High. The sixth-ranked Mexia Blackcats basketball team took their undefeated district record on the road for a meeting with the seventh-ranked Westwood Panthers. Back on Dec. 17, Mexia defeated Westwood at home 69-63.
Mexia’s Lambarri looks to lead Blackcats back into playoffs

Mexia junior center and forward Mario Lambarri tallied three goals and a pair of assists in the Blackc ats’ Jan. 17 win at home over Hearne. He foll owed up that performance with a two-goal effort in Mexia’s Jan. 21 home win against Harmony.
Ladycats dominant in 55-28 road win at Westwood

The Mexia Ladycats basketball team picked up their fourth straight district win on Tuesday, Jan. 21. They defeated the Westwood Lady Panthers by a wide margin 55-28 to improve to 7-1 in District 20-3A Division 3. Mexia trails only Fairfield (7-0) in the district standings.
