The Wortham Bulldogs football team suffered a blowout road loss Friday night, Oct. 4. They were handled 60-30 by the Bremond Tigers. Now 3-2 overall, the loss drops Wortham’s district mark to 1-1.
Texas’ Archery Only and Managed Lands Deer seasons got underway Sept. 28. The general season starts Nov. 2, one week after what is sure to be a busy Youth Only hunting weekend that runs Oct. 25-27. It’s showtime for an army Texas K-9s that live for deer season and the chance to put their noses to work to help hunters recover animals they otherwise may not find.
The Coolidge Yellowjackets football team celebrated Homecoming on Friday, Oct. 4, with a 54-34 non-district win over Mount Calm. With the victory, Coolidge’s season record now stands at 4-2.
Mexia verses Groesbeck is a high school football rivalry that dates back to 1901. On Friday, the two clubs will meet on the gridiron for the 80th time.
