The Mexia girls basketball team won its third consecutive game to begin the season with a 72-28 triumph at Crockett on Tuesday, Nov. 15.
The Mexia boys basketball team’s motto for this season will be Hashtag 220. That’s how far it is from Mexia to San Antonio, site of the UIL state tournament in March — 220 miles.

The Mexia volleyball team had one first team All-District 20-3A selection, one second-teamer and three honorable mention choices for the 2022 season.
In a game that was never in question, the Wortham football team built a 32-0 lead after one quarter of play and hardly broke a sweat in frigid conditions during a 54-6 rout of Clarksville on Friday night in a bi-district playoff game at Eustace.
