Donna Ryno Goodwin completed her tasks on earth and was promoted to her heavenly home on Jan. 19, 2021, at Providence Hospital in Waco.  A celebration of her life will be held on Monday, Jan.

Funeral services for Jimmy Wade Thomas, 84, of Mexia, were held Sunday, Jan. 17, at McWhorter Funeral Home with Brother Dicky Mauk officiating. Private interment followed at Hopewell Cemetery. The family received friends prior to the service.

Danny W. Smith passed away on Thursday, Jan. 14, 2021, at the age of 74. He was born on July 24, 1946, in Hubbard, to Roger W. Smith and Frances Natelle Gauntt Smith. Danny graduated from Hubbard High School in 1964, where he was involved in FFA. While in high school, Danny met the love of his life, Paula Jean Copley at The Freezette. After dating for five years, they married on Jan. 27, 1967, in Coolidge.
