Limestone County Judge Richard Duncan gave the Mexia Lions Club an update on matters at the county level, beginning with the statistics on the COVID-19 virus but on other subjects as well.
More than 200 children who had planned to auction off their County Fair project this past spring were left with nothing after the Fair was canceled due to the COVID-19 virus pandemic. The Limestone County Fair Association is helping make up for that, though, through an event held last Saturday, July 18, and also through building a Recovery Fund to reward the young exhibitors.

The city of Mexia officially received the keys to Gibbs Memorial Library from the company that restored it after the Sept. 28, 2019, arson fire.
