Christmas at the Fort shows a variety of cultures, such as Native American Loretta “Morning Dove” Ramirez refreshing her skills at throwing a hawk (tomahawk) at a target, while Shane Kirk, at rear, and his son, Shane Kirk Jr., dressed as pioneers or settlers, watch. The Mexia Garden Club presented the Most Traditional Outdoor Christmas Lighting award to Danny and Sher Feuge and their grandson, James. The lovely display is located at 900 Hinchliffe Road.
The Mexia Garden Club awarded the Most Creative Outdoor Christmas Lighting in their annual contest to Phillip and Docia Bain at 907 S. Ross.
