The Limestone Medical Center Foundation wants to thank Arnold and Penny Gray, owners of the Running G Ranch, for donating the steer used in a recent raffle.
Mexia police responded to a call Saturday of what sounded like gunshots near the cemetery. Although unable to locate anyone shooting, the responding officer found a man with an outstanding warrant and took him to jail. Also last week, an officer issued a citation for possession of drug paraphernalia.
Jacqueline Craig, a friendly face many Mexia-area residents have likely encountered on a visit to H-E-B, recently received an award for her contributions to the city and community.
