The Texas Senate has approved a new political map for its own members that would entrench Republican dominance in the chamber for the next 10 years, even as Democrats argued the changes do not reflect the interests of people of color in the state who have fueled Texas’ growth over the last decade.
The Wortham ISD Staff Members of the Month for September are Julia Batts and Jeff Craig. Each month, WISD staff nominate their fellow co-workers who they want to recognize for their hard work and dedication to our students. Both Batts and Craig were nominated for always going above and beyond and making a positive difference in the district. Presenting the awards is WISD Superintendent Melissa Bosley.
This week at Mexia LTC we started off the week with in-room activities of choice on Monday. We were to read Bible study notes sent by Bob Kersten on Tuesday on each hall.
When Trent Daniel and his wife, Mitzi, started beekeeping, it was because they had a garden and Trent had read that having bees would increase his production by 30 percent with honeybees nearby. They also have about 15 acres of land, and found out they could get an ag exemption on his land if they kept honeybees.
