Birthday before Thanksgiving

This week at Mexia LTC we started the week off playing bean-bag toss and having Bible study on Monday morning. Residents played bingo on Monday afternoon. Residents enjoyed Bible study by Bob Kersten on Tuesday morning. Residents were to play bowling on Tuesday afternoon.

Arts, Entertainment Center cuts ribbon

Linda Condon, center, is cutting the ribbon and celebrating the opening of her Arts and Entertainment Center, one of the newest businesses in Mexia. She is surrounded by friends and local business owners who are welcoming her to the downtown area. The facility is located at 307 Commerce St. next to Incommons Bank. The spacious, two-story venue, known as the J.I. Building, can be reserved for parties, weddings and baby showers, dances, family reunions, school proms, business meetings and more.
