The Mexia Police Department responded to burglar alarms at three convenience stores located along U.S. Highway 84 (Milam Street) in Mexia between 2:33 and 4:01 a.m. Monday.

Following successful trail rides throughout the Old Fort Parker acreage during the Thanksgiving weekend, the next big event is the 2021 Annual Christmas at Old Fort Parker, located between Mexia and Groes beck in Limestone County off Texas Highway 14.
A deputy with the Limestone County Sheriff’s Office is reported to be in good condition and recovering following a one-vehicle crash about 11:20 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 27. He was en route to a call.
