Trooper Allen Fun Day set for Oct. 1
The Trooper Allen Family Fun Day has an official date, Saturday, Oct. 1, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the W.L. Moody Reunion Grounds in Fairfield.
Sales tax holiday can help save money on back-to-school items
Texas shoppers can look forward to saving money on back-to-school clothes and school supplies during the state’s sales tax holiday on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 5-7.

The Mexia Independent School District motto this year is “shine your light,” Superintendent Ryder Appleton told administrators, faculty and staff during an easy-going convocation Wednesday morning, Aug. 3, at the Mexia High School auditorium.
