WHS inducts new NHS members
The Wortham High School Chapter of the National Honor Society inducted six new members in a candle lighting ceremony Oct. 2. The new inductees included Sierra Davis, Bradley Gragg, TJ Grela, Bre Kennedy, Madison Newhouse and JaKayla Williams.
Speaking about sunflowers
The Mexia Garden Club had their October meeting at Gibb Memorial Library. Pictured, from left, are President Patty Manley, speakers Linda and Bill Ferris, Carol Matthews and Kay Roark. The Club was delighted by the program about the sunflower. It was an insightful presentation. The room was full of the beautiful sunflowers.
