NRG Dewey Prairie Garden, since March 2022, has yielded 10,000 pounds of produce that was distributed to six area food pantries that collectively serve approximately 2,000 people per month in the three-county area.
Computer consultant James McKeand, who is also a member of the Mexia Lions Club, spoke to the club recently on his area of expertise, specifically on avoiding computer scams. One would think that all that needs to be said on this subject has been said, but sadly, people who pursue deceit and theft never tire of developing new ways to steal from others, so McKeand has to continually update his presentation on scams.
