The Wortham Garden Club named the home of the Joshua and Alexia McCullar family on San Marcos Street as the October Yard of the Month for its extensive Halloween decorations.

The Mexia Blackcat Band particIpated in the Region 8 UIL Marching Competition on Oct. 18.
This week at Mexia LTC we started the week bowling on Monday morning. Residents played bingo that afternoon. Residents enjoyed Bible group with Bob Kersten on Tuesday morning.
More than 10 inches of rain fell in some areas in the Dallas-Fort Worth area over the weekend, but Mexia received only 1.53 inches, according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration as measured at Mexia Limestone County Airport.
