Rotary Club of Mexia President Eric Bost, center, congratulates the Junior Rotarians for September, Peyton Allen, 17, and Mariana Dominguez 17, both seniors. After graduation, Peyton plans to pursue a degree in petroleum engineering at Texas Tech University. Mariana plans to get her basics at Navarro College then transfer to McLennan County College to study business administration.
The Wortham High School Chapter of the National Honor Society inducted seven new members in a candle-lighting ceremony. The new inductees included: Kaylee Calame, Trett Carroll, Ana Colquette, Brooke Norcross, Ember Preston, Case Samford and Braidee Taylor.
