There’ll be a new sheriff in town

Chris Henson, left, and Murray Agnew, above, are vying in the March primary election for sheriff of Limestone County. The winner has no Democratic opponent in November and will take over in January for retiring sheriff Dennis Wilson. The two were part of a 10-candidate panel brought together Monday, Feb. 17, by the Groesbeck Chamber of Commerce, Groesbeck Journal and The Mexia News at the Groesbeck Convention Center. Candidates vying for Limestone County sheriff, constable and commissioner answered preselected questions posed concerned citizens.
