Runoff election begins Monday

The Limestone County runoff elections from the spring primaries are scheduled for July 14, with early voting running Monday, June 29, through Friday, July 10, except July 3-4.
July 4th celebration to go on ‘almost’ as usual

Mexia’s Boomin’ on the Fourth Independence Day celebration will go on this year as close to what it usually is as organizers can make it, with virus restrictions the main difference. The event is set for Saturday, July 4, at Hughes City Park on Tyler Street. A few regular events are not being offered this year, while a few new items will be offered. As can be seen below, many of the events overlap each other.
