Water main break delays school

A water main break at 6:10 a.m. Aug. 16 at Mexia Independent School District resulted in a two hour delay to the start of the school day, according to a post on the MISD Facebook. 

A major water line on Bailey Street between the Mexia Junior High School and Mexia High School broke, and the water was shut off to the district to be repaired. 

Buses ran two hours later than normal. 

At 7:55 a.m, MISD posted on Facebook that the water main was temportalty repaired, so the campuses will have water for the day.
