Mexia had trouble putting the ball in the basket against Rusk and the result was a 39-29 setback in a District 19-4A girls’ basketball game at the Mexia High School gym Friday night.

Only four players scored points for the Wortham girls’ basketball team, but that was enough for the Lady Bulldogs to claim a 41-27 victory over Hubbard in a District 18-2A game at Hubbard on Friday

Dravion Davis tossed up a rainbow that found a pot of gold.

The rainbow was a high, arcing shot from the corner and the pot of gold was the 100-point plateau for the Mexia Blackcats.
