Ladyjackets lose at home to Neches

The Coolidge Ladyjackets basketball team had a tall order Tuesday night. They were tasked with defending their home court against perennial powerhouse and district rival Neches Lady Tigers. Coolidge lost the contest 52-17 and its district record now evens up at 1-1.

Ferris knocks off Mexia 57-47

The Mexia Blackcats basketball team fell to 6-4 on the season following a Tuesday, Dec. 10, road loss at Ferris. Jatayveus Bluitt led Mexia’s offense with 13 points. Altrie Farris and Billy Hicks added 10 points apiece in defeat for the Blackcats.

Moody tops Wortham 47-19

The Wortham Lady Bulldogs basketball team suffered a 47-19 defeat at Moody on Tuesday night, Dec. 10 Haylee Shivers accounted for 12 of Wortham’s 19 points on the night. Freshman Sarina Wicker added four points for the Lady Bulldogs in defeat.
