Hunter Murphy has been the Mexia Blackcats’ stopper over the past two season, and the sophomore right-hander came through with a clutch pitching performance against Madisonville on Tuesday night.
When Isai Garcia began playing baseball in a t-ball league in Mexia at the age of 4, he realized the sport was not something one could easily master.
Madisonville scored eight runs in the top of the first inning and never looked back en route to a 19-2 victory over Mexia in a District 18-4A softball game at Ladycat Field on Tuesday.
