Fresh off the graduation stage, three Wortham football players strapped on their helmets one final time Saturday, June 4, during the Fellowship of Christian Athletes Victory Bow at Waco ISD Stadium.
Coolidge’s Morgan Ward played at the Fellowship of Christian Athletes Victory Bowl volleyball game on June 4 at Waco University High School.
The True Defenders of the Week based on their work during the opening week of summer strength and conditioning workouts are Deyonna Davis for the Ladycats and Xavier West for the Blackcats. Head coach Aaron Nowell says, “Both have shown exceptional work ethic and character on a daily basis this week.” Davis plays basketball and West plays football and competes in powerlifting.

It was the first of several summer camps that will be put on by Mexia ISD coaches.
