The True Defenders for Week 3 of the Mexia summer strength and conditioning program are the seventh grade girls for the Ladycats and the seventh grade boys for the Blackcats.
When high school football teams in Texas compete during the summer, it’s usually in 7-on-7 events where skill players such as quarterbacks and receivers get the chance to hone their skills.
The Mexia baseball team had one first team All-District 18-4A selection and six second-teamers this season.
